Gojek 4.0 - Redesign
Project Summary
In 2020, Gojek completely redesigned its app, which also required updating its motion design. I developed a new set of animations that matched the app’s fresh look and improved user interactions. Throughout this process, I kept in mind Gojek's brand language, which is casual, witty, and concise, ensuring that the new motion design was both engaging and aligned with the brand’s unique voice.
This was one of my first projects at Gojek and also one of the initial endeavors for the motion team. I was responsible for defining the motion design across the entire app, including the splash screen, transitions, and various in-app flows such as order tracking, rating, viewing promos, and managing subscriptions. This project set the tone for motion design within the company and laid the groundwork for creating a playbook. The playbook included guidelines on when and how to use motion, standard bezier curves for easing, and the interactive behavior of visual elements on the UI screen.
